<div><strong>Deepika Padukone: </strong>The film Kochadaiiyan, where she starred opposite Rajinikanth, marked Deepika's debut in Kollywood. Directed by Rajini's daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film was made using motion capturing technology, featuring characters whose design was based on appearance of their respective actors. The film, however, turned out to be one of the biggest flops in Rajini's career, and did not do much justice to Deepika, who reportedly stayed away from the film's promotional activities as she was upset with the way she was portrayed in the animated film. </div>
